Royal Humane Society Award for Chelsea Officer |

PCSO Rich Burnett has been awarded a Royal Humane Society Award for saving a life in the line of duty. A male was not conscious and not breathing on a street in Earl's Court while he was stationed up there. PCSO Burnett gave the casualty CPR until London Ambulance arrived on the scene. PCSO Burnett's quick thinking and actions saved a males life, all while there were many unsavoury characters surrounding him making the thinking process that bit more difficult. Two Chelsea Safer Neighbourhood Officers have now received a Royal Humane Society Award. Most citizens will experience between three to four potentially traumatic events in their lifetime, whereas each police officer is likely to experience between 400 to 600 in their policing career. We never know what is around the corner.
